It's a new day.

My success in binding dwi pada unexpectedly yielded two new poses - dhanurasana and parsva dhanurasana. I have been doing my last three for no more than 3 seconds, and here we are, new poses. Sometimes I just do not understand the logic behind this business of pose giving. Not that I am complaining! :)

It is a particular kind of logic, an illogical logic. %-)

hi Alfia
well, maybe it means that your teacher wants to get you forward because he know that you will be able to get Dwi Pada on your own in Second Series, since you already did it as an entry into Supta Kurmasana in Primary. i worked with two teachers in SF for a long time, and one of them, whom i saw on Sundays, never let me go past DwiPada in Second Series because i was not getting it on my own yet. the other one let me move forward, but she had met me when i was doing the entire series (incorrectly) then had me start over, adding only one pose per month. then the studio closed and she went to Mysore for several months and we didn't reconnect for 6 months, but that is another story and i'm taking your bandwith. (i don't have much company to discuss yoga with.)
hugs
Arturo

Yes, yay for illogical logic! ha ha ha!! perfect.
Congrats!

Dhanurasana is one of those poses that feels so different then it looks. Even when I feel like my feet are sky high and legs are strong and engaged, I'm not up in some beautiful bow, I'm a low flying cruiser!

Hooray!!! Good for you.

I think they use a lot of reverse psychology, our teachers. Anyway, we're all kind of nuts.
