Guruji left his body. Though I did not get a chance to get to know him personally, I feel privileged to live and practice at the time he lived. I hope he feels all the love and gratitude of so many people who's lives he changed forever.

Dear Woodley Park Yoga Students and Friends,
Early this morning, we learned that our teacher Sri K. Patthabi Jois, affectionately known as Guruji passed away yesterday in India at the age of 93. To honor his life and legacy an informal memorial service will be held at the yoga studio Wednesday evening, May 20 at 7pm. Please come and share your memories of Guruji. Even if you’ve never met him personally, you may want to speak about how you have been influenced by his Asthanga method.
If you like, you can bring food or drinks.
