Feeling better.

And just like that, my anger is gone. In fact, I felt a surge of affection towards David when he told us it was his birthday. Note to self - before acting out on rage and resentment - check your calendar!
Anyway, practice is still strong. Naked+Anutra+Green vibrance+MSM for breakfast turned out to be a golden combination for me. David grunted approvingly while hlelping me in supta kurmasana, which made me happy (we are so not spoiled by praise!), and spent some time in helping me to hold a "high and proud" kukkutasana. It seems that what I needed at the moment the most - just a sign that I am not forgotten, and I am back to a contented self.
In other news - Rayna is back! She was so radiant and beautiful with Hawaiian flowers in her hair. Aliya will be back in shala by Sunday, too. Things are getting back to normal. Even better than normal, because we have Tova here, too. So wonderful!

Good Morning Dear Alfia!
Glad you are feeling better today!

Have a peaceful one all the way!

I ordered some Green Vibrance. I might not drink it though. Need blender too.

I could never have it for breakfast cause there's barely enough time to drink coffee & do pre yoga prep as it is. But maybe night time?

Oh, I can't use a blender, too! Too loud. I take have a bottle of Naked, a scoop of Green vibrance and a scoop of Anutra (fiber, to counteract the sugar). MSM in the pills, it is too bitter to mix it in. Takes 2 minutes. Does not make you heavy, burpy or gassy (at least not for 3-4 hour, the gassy part :D). Try it once - you will be hooked!

I really only have time for coffee in the morning, but if I have some at night it should help right???

Boodiba said...

I mean the Green Vibrance at night.

Need to get MSM tablets...

I am not sure... All those sugars get digested really fast, and the effect of high energy is gone. I would suggest to prepare it the night before, but gulp it down before your bath.

With the coffee?? Eww! :)

I might DIE if I didn't have the coffee.

Oh good, you're feeling better! I don't know who Rayna is with the flowers in her hair, but I think I'd like her. And Tova sounds practically magical from everything I read here and elsewhere about Her Crankiness. Your shala sounds like a pretty good place to be, afterall. At least you have no jerkoff deskboys, right? ;)

There are no jerkoff deskboys! I've visited and had a lovely experience.

Joy you would love Cranky and Alfia! Magical, they are.

Meoweth! Magic with the FUR.

Alfia i was going to email you to see if you were doing better, but i checked here first, and good news! i didn't say goodbye today because you were in a lovely kurmasana. and David did seem in quite a good mood today, didn't he?

i have a question, the MSM makes me really spaced out, does it do this to you?

Boodiba said...

oooh - does anyone have any experience / insight on what brand to buy? Is Vitamin Shoppe brand ok?

Magic with the FUR! :D so funny!

Tova, MSM does not make me spaced out. May be you are having a weird reaction?

Linda - I am getting the sheapest stuff around. Last time it was a CVS brand, this time - Safeway. Seems to work either way.

I think I'll order some. Honestly, most of the time I have ZERO energy for anything besides practice & work. The only reason I got so much accomplished this morning was that I didn't practice.

Online!

Have you ever tried Puritan vitamins? They're pretty good & cheaper than most places on most items.

Dear Alfia,

Been out of a decent internet connection, but

I'm back now... good to read that you are feeling better and in peace with D and K. I get the impression that everyone respects your practice, and I'm glad you are realizing that, even if circumstances may sometimes make you believe that this is not the case...

I do feel that you are lucky to be taught by people who truly care and respect what Ashtanga is (as well as their students), even if sometimes they may seem a bit too strict. I'm really sure they have you in high regard, the same way we all do. I'm in no doubt that before we know it, you'll be telling us about even more progress in your daily practice, because you are a disciplined, willing person, who've already achieved a lot, and will continue to do so. :)
