PPC is not good as an alarm clock

I woke up this morning feeling well rested. I thought "what's up with that?" since it happens like, never. Looked at the clock - of course, overslept! I use a pocket PC as my alarm clock, it is the only device in the house loud enough to wake me up and soft enough not to wake Victor. I changed the clock on it yesterday, because the poor thing did not realize it was the summer time. As a result, all my calendar appointments at work and on my home laptop changed by an hour. Grrr! In addition, the stupid device reverted to the old time all by itself sometime at night. Result - home practice + was late for work. Double grrr!
So I had to have my practice at home, very hurried, no vinyasas between sides, to time for criminal activities. But at least I am very well rested!

$120? It would be just another material posession...

... just put it into your wish list and send it to all your friends. ;)

I am at the stage of my life when I feel that things weigh me down. I can't breath because there is too much stuff in my life. I used to love things like this clock though. Not sure what changed.

Oh see I don't have that many possessions at all. My alarm is this cheapo thing I bought in India last winter. Back is broken off. The main thing is the alarm is really an obnoxious noise. Chimes might be a pleasant change. And an alarm clock is small! You can take it with you!

I don't even buy art books anymore. I am always pretending I'm going to move across or out of the country at a moment's notice.

I hate alarms with loud noise. It is like your mad chanter - just startles you out of calmness. You should get it :)

I have way too many things. And books! There is not enough booshelf space anymore, so I have stacks of books everywhere. Terrible. I need a help of either a professional organizer or a psychotherapist. Can't breathe!

Do you live in a house? I live in SUCH a small hovel that I've gotten very good about throwing away anything I don't use. I don't own a single cooking pot or pan, cause there is a teeny-tiny fridge and so I don't cook. The only CDs I didn't throw out are my Queen CDs - nostalgia. The only books I save are the yoga books.

I don't own too many things I wouldn't have a problem leaving behind. I'd take my little Patanjali statue though..., for sure.

We live in a tiny one-bedroom apartment. I have so many yoga books, it is not even funny; in addition, i have non-yoga books, Victor's economics books, my son's computer books. 2 TVs, tivo, vcr and dvd player. 2 computers, + 3 laptops that retired but still working, and 2 monitors that are working really well, but nobody uses them. Kitchen-full of appliances. Clothes. And so on ...
I can't believe it myself. I think if I have a fire in the apartment and everything burns, I might just sigh with relief (only if somebody saves my 2 cats)

Alfia...I so hear you on all this! We have a big house full of waaaayyyy too much STUFF here and I keep trying to encourage my man to let go. A good friend of mine always used to say, wait until you get to my age (10 years ago she was 50 too :) and you will want to totally declutter your life. She did it then and I am starting to do it now. So you have another 3-4 years left to contemplate but I am happy to hear, you are already feeling it. I have some friends who are continuing to collect things they have no idea what to do with!

Even though it is a PC, it is a POCKET pc. I can write my papers, posts and e-mails on the run. I love it dearly (except for it's daylight time thingy stupidity)!
