Fun practice

Guess what? I got to meet cranky housefrau and LI ashtangini today. I find it very interesting when people from the virtual world suddenly descend upon you and turn out to be real. Maybe deep inside I still think that internet is something like Sim City, and people there do not really exist? And here they are - two gorgeous ladies with beautiful practice, flesh and blood (and sweat). It tickled me to no end.

Sounds wonderful. I've only ever met one person from my blogging world IRL and it turned out just fine. It is surprising that it is possible to "meet" someone online and really get to know them, even though you have not physically seen them. Glad to hear all went well.

The blog world and your real life will intersect more & more as time goes on. Trust me!

I am looking forward to it! I hope I can make enough friends to meet somebody in San Francisko, where I am going in the end of March. :P

It got a little freaky for me at some points. Seriously there is like NO separation between my worlds now.

I don't know any active bloggers who are in SF. There's a commenter named Eeyore... I'll ask him about it.

it's the platonic version of online dating! (^_^) it was really trippy when we had a visitor from So Cal - we got to chat a bit. while reading a fellow ashtangi's blog, it dawned on me that this was the "visitor's" blog! for one reason or another, many still choose to remain anonymous in the "internets" world. anyway. random story.

Rayna, I can understand anonymity well - not everyone is willing to expose herself to the world. It is, in a way, some sort of emotional stripping. But I do not care. I love people and love having a lot of them around! :)

Boodiba, thanks!

Alfia,

So good to meet you today!!!! Try Armani (bigsquish.blogspot.com or Arturo (cronyogitect.blogspot.com). I'm pretty sure at least one of not both are in San Fran. And they are both REALLY nice.

oops, sorry, Armani lives in Seattle, duh. But Arturo is in San Fran for sure.

how fun!
ooh, blush, thanks for the kind comments, li ashtangini.
there are a few people around here in SF that either have blogged or currently blog. the mountainview shala maintains a blog, so several of their teachers at one time or another have blogged. Boodi you may have crossed paths with Anne Finstead when you were in Mysore. she's now in portland. Adarsh, and his wife maintain a blog and they teach in mountainview. Another writer maintains ashtanganews. there's a lady that wrote an inspired blog in berkeley then stopped. There's ross stettles (exchanging hats) except he stopped blogging. a lot of people have met him when practicing in asia. he lives around here. eeyore is great. i hope to practice with cody when i go to boston for a conference in may.
cheers, arturo
